Cake popsicles are a great dessert for any special occasion. Soft cake inside a chocolate shell topped with delicious festive sprinkles.
- 7.6 oz yellow cake mix Half of the cake used
- 8 oz chocolate buttercream frosting Half used
- ¾ cup sprinkles Valentine's day assortment
- 5 oz baking chips unicorn
- 12 oz baking melts red, pink and white
- 5 oz chocolate bark
Preheat oven to 325°. Prepare yellow cake mix as directed on the box. Pour batter into cake pan. Bake for 28 minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow for cake to completely cool.
Once cake has cooled, split the cake in half and break in up into crumbs. Add in ½ of the chocolate frosting to crumbs and mix well together with your hands. Set aside until ready to assemble.
Assembly of the cake popsicles
Melt desired color of chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals until all melted. Pour chocolate into the cavity of your silicon popsicle mold. Put in freezer for 5-10 minutes.
Remove from freezer and add the cake mixture to each mold. Stick in popsicle stick through the bottom. Layer the top with chocolate. Put in freezer for 20 minutes.
Remove from freezer once again, pop out cake popsicles with your hand. Set down, drizzle with desired color of chocolate and sprinkle. Serve and enjoy!
