Have a holly jolly Xmas! It's the best time of the year, for Snickerdoodle monkey bread that is (that was super cheesy). This bread is a holiday favorite and if you are looking for a very kid friendly dessert, don't look any farther. It is drizzled with white icing and each bite is packed with cinnamon and sugar.

Please check out my buttermilk coffee cake with cinnamon topping. It is another favorite of mine that is served on the holidays!

So the holidays around here are a pretty busy time, especially with three little kiddos running around. So that is why is I decided to make this super friendly Snickerdoodle monkey bread. Norah was super helpful and all the kids love that this bread is super easy to pull apart and eat.

I learned how to make monkey bread at a young age and over the years I adapted the recipes to fit with each season or special event. Not only is this bread super kid friendly but you can add just about any fruit or spices to make it your own masterpiece!

There are not many ingredients to the bread.

    •  Buttermilk biscuits: I used Pillsbury, but any store brand would work. However, if you are feeling ambitious, make your own biscuit mixture.
    • Spices: play with the amounts at your own discretion. If you want to add more cinnamon feel free.
    • Unsalted butter: I don't recommend any salted butter as there is enough in the biscuits and will alter the taste.

How to make Snickerdoodle Monkey Bread?

There is definitely not much to the Snickerdoodle monkey bread, but the finished product is so worth it!

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease bundt pan really well with crisco. This step is important because this cake can stick to your pan and when removing the pieces can stick. Set aside.

Open two can of biscuits. Cut each biscuits into quarters. In a small bowl, mix your granulated sugar and cinnamon together. In a microwave safe bowl, melt stick of butter. Set both bowls aside.

Roll each biscuit piece into a little ball, dip into sugar mixture and place in bundt pan. You will just layer each piece around your bundt pan. I sprinkled melted butter after each row of biscuits was put in bundt pan. Once everything is done, pop that bad boy in the oven and bake for 34 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Once cooled flip bundt pan onto cake plate or baking sheet.

    White icing

White icing is easy. Mix confectioner's sugar and milk/half and half until you reach desired consistency. If it is too runny, add more sugar and vice versa. Drizzle over the cooled bread. Pull apart and enjoy!

    Welcome

    About me Carrie Blaser

Hi my name is Carrie. I am just a sassy girl from the midwest that has a sweet tooth for any type of dessert. I grew up in the kitchen and remember making my sister scrambled eggs at 8 years old. But I really fell in love with baking when I made my first Betty Crocker cake out of the box. I like to think that I have come a long way since then!
