Tips for the perfect fudge
- Use a deep sided saucepan or large pot. This will ensure that their will be no boil over.
- A sturdy spatula. It will need to be able to withstand high heats and if the fudge gets super thick a flimsy spatula won't work!
- Line or grease your pan. Fudge will then be able to be removed without sticking.
- Make sure your fudge has either marshmallows, marshmallow cream or corn syrup. The fudge will not crystallize into large particles and will set right.
Substitutions and variations
- Add pecans into the fudge to enhance the flavor
- Use cocoa powder vs hot chocolate mix
- Use homemade hot chocolate mix and add different flavors
